My Bundles of Joy
Hope came with my first bundle of joy, The love I shared with my only baby boy, Will always fill my eyes with tears, He only blessed my life for thirty one years.
The pain is difficult to bear, Life does not seem fair, That I must bury my child, I miss the way you smiled.
My only baby girl, born on New Year’s Eve, We helped each other love, trust, and believe. You were gone after a mere twenty seven years, A second time to cry those heartbreaking tears.
The pain is difficult to bear, Life does not seem fair, That I must bury my child, I miss the way you smiled.
When it was time for my angels to leave, For my loved ones I will forever grieve, For everything there is a season Only the Lord knows the reason.
Faith helps me understand, Dear Lord, You took their hand, I love and miss them so, Give me peace until it’s time for me to go.

BACKGROUND & HISTORY
I was born in Suffolk VA, the third of six children born to Terry and Ola Craddock. At age eighteen, I married and my life was blessed with two beautiful children. William James Wade, Jr. "JJ" was born 9/22/72 and died 1/26/04. Diane Michele Wade was born 12/31/76 and killed instantly on 5/20/04 when a woman crossed the center line.
At the time of this life history, August 2005 ....I am raising JJ's two sons, Brandon and Jamie, as well as Michele's youngest son, Michael. I am unable to return to my job at a local hospital, since I attempted to return in September 2004 (after JJ's sons returned to school). But since they were having so many emotional problems dealing with the deaths of their Dad and Aunt Michele, as well as the abandonment from their biological mother....I was only able to remain at the hospital for six weeks. A local Virginia Juvenile Domestic Relations judge in August 2004 ruled "grandparents do not have rights in Virginia" when I filed for visitation of Michele's other three children so they would be able to spend time with their baby brother, Michael--3. Michael who was severely injured in the crash that killed his Mother should not suffer losing his siblings too. How many other children are being subjected to the same unfair rulings? Let's work together to make some drastic changes.

Our move to Virginia
The children and I moved to Virginia in 1984, when their father and I separated and later divorced. We moved to be closer to my family, as I worked swing shift in Franklin VA. I began working at Union Camp in November 1974, as a paper inspector. In 1984, I became involved in union offices. Over the next 15 years, I held the offices of trustee, recording secretary, treasurer, to President of Local 1488. I started and organized a yearly "Bright Star" Christmas program for the last ten years before I retired. We would select 120 children from four local surrounding counties and assure they would have new toys and clothes for Christmas. The last year of the program, Christmas 1999, senior citzens in nursing homes without family were included to receive gifts. I retired from the paper mill in June 1999. When I retired, I went back to school and graduated in March 2001 and passed State Board for Certified Medical Assistant; back to school again....completed classes and passed State Board for Certified Nurses Assistant in May 2003 and started working on the Med/Surgical floor at Obici Hospital in Suffolk VA.

GrandRally and Commonwealth of Virginia issues
With the responsibility of having to raise three of their six children, the realization of several disservices to Virginia families and their children have become apparent. The Commonwealth of Virginia does not have a "with death involved" statue in place (where a person while driving a motor vehicle kills some one) that can be attached to the end of the minor traffic violation received for the crash. Also, Virginia does not have grandparents rights, which in turn does not seem to be in "best interest of the child." A child needs to have the involvement of all loving, active relatives...."it takes a village to raise a child."
I had the distinct pleasure of attending the GrandRally in Washington DC September 13-15, 2005 for the purpose of trying to make positive changes for minor children. At the rally I learned the State of California has 10-12 laws in place for making a difference in children's lives but the Commonwealth of Virginia only has two....federal laws need to be in place so there will be consistency from state-to-state. A couple of important things we are taught when growing up....CHILDREN NEED LOVE AND CONSISTENCY!
Each state in our United States of America needs to have local delegates that understand these priorities. How many other states have a deficient in these crucial issues? The innocent minor children are the future generations of our nation. We need elected officials and concerned citizens working together to make a difference. As a Virginia citizen, that has been tragically and personally affected by these deficients, I am actively involved in trying to promote positive changes for both of these very important issues in Virginia.
I would like to express my deepest appreciation for two wonderful ladies, Lola & Michelle...both from California, that graciously allowed me (a total stranger) to share a room for the two nights I was in DC. If anyone would like to become a sponsor for one or both of these issues... contact me: mail--PO Box 154 Carrsville VA 23315 email--angelsarms2004@verizon.net Read my background history to understand why these issues need to be revised, if you have any further questions send them to one of the addresses above and I will respond to all inquiries.
